Dr. John Hartog joined Sioux County Radio this morning to share updates about what’s new at NCC this fall, including our approach to AI in education, the continued growth of our Regional Centers, and much more.

☕❤️ Great coffee. Great community. Great impact.

A huge thank you to Sacred Grounds Scooter’s Coffee of Sheldon and everyone who participated in the Sips for Scholarships event!

Thanks to your support, $1,000 was donated to the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation Scholarship Fund, helping make education more accessible and affordable for NCC students.

This partnership is a wonderful example of what can happen when a local business and a caring community come together to invest in students and their futures.

And the support doesn't stop here! Keep an eye out this fall for Score with Scooter's during Thunder soccer and Ace with Scooter's during Thunder volleyball as Scooter's continues to support NCC student-athletes through every goal and ace.

Our alumni continue to do amazing things!

Since becoming the new owner of Top Notch Stitching in Sheldon on December 31, 2025, NCC alumnus Jim Groote has been helping lead the business into its next chapter alongside his wife, Jennifer, and business partners Mark and Michelle Den Hartog.

Top Notch Stitching specializes in custom apparel and promotional products for businesses, organizations, teams, and events. Since taking ownership, the team has expanded its in-store merchandise, strengthened its online presence, and added a new hot-press machine for custom cap designs, creating even more options for customers.

It's exciting to see our alumni putting their skills and passion to work in our communities!
