Allie Mouw (Intermediary Network Coordinator at NCC) and Aimee Jaynes (IVRS Coordinator at NCC) partnered with Abbie Parker (O'Brien County Naturalist at Prairie Heritage Center), Kevin Miller (Emergency Services Education Coordinator at NCC) and Stan (owner of Rocky, the skunk) to host Wilderness Camp at NCC this morning! This camp was offered to Kindergarten through 4th grade students in NCC's region to educate them on Wilderness Safety. Activities in today's camp included setting up a tent, learning about animals in the wilderness and keeping a safe distance from them, and applying first aid. Students were able to bring home first aid kits that they made, necklaces with a compass/whistle attached, binoculars and a lot of knowledge about the wilderness.
