Each month at St. Joe, we place our children before Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. “Let the children come to me,” says Jesus in Matthew 19:14. During Adoration, Fr. Mike guides the students through a time of prayer and quiet with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, helping them learn from a young age simply to be with the Lord and listen to His voice.

What a joyful retreat day for our 5th graders! Today our students traveled to Oldenburg, visiting the home of the Franciscan Friars and the convent of the Franciscan Sisters whose community founded our school in 1872. The students learned about the roots of our school and the life of St. Francis of Assisi, prayed their Jubilee indulgence prayers and the Divine Office, visited the new perpetual adoration chapel, and enjoyed some great team-building along the way. They also stopped at the St. Joseph Shop, where they received sacramentals, and Fr. Mike blessed Oldenburg Academy’s new bus! The day ended perfectly, with ice cream at Sister Cleo’s! What a beautiful day of faith, friendship, and joy.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our St. Joe families who joined us for Pastries with Parents this morning! We hope everyone had a wonderful morning enjoying some special time together before the start of the school day. ☕🍩💛
We also want to give a special thank you to Jackie Hogan, Elizabeth Taylor, and everyone who helped make this event possible—from donating, setting up, serving, cleaning up, and everything in between. We truly couldn’t do it without our amazing St. Joe community!
