Good morning!

I have been asked whether I would be running a youth program and I would love to make that happen. I want to run a 2 month program starting in September and ending at the start of November. This will be a beginner course focused on building confidence in physical exchanges in a controlled environment. I am approaching 20 years coaching youth and it is one of my passions.

Classes would be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm. Cost will be $85 / month ( $170 ) total.

In order to give your children the experience that I want, I need to ensure there enough kids wanting to commit to this. Ive ran this class in the past and conflicts with other sports prevented it from the experience I want. I am willing to add classes on a different days if feedback and demand require.

I have created a Google form that I ask that you fill out if you are interested in starting your journey with BGA Youth.

5 students showed up last night. 2 ( Reed Best Andrew Walker )were injured and still showed up to support and hang out. That leaves 3 students, but lets be honest with the remaining three. 1 was my daughter who was there with me. 1 was my longtime friend, student, and teammate, Mandy Caleb Duckett. The last student was his daughter who was there for the same reason as my daughter. Regardless, we all trained, learned, and laughed together. Whether the gym is packed or its one adult, I will be there teaching and sharing my craft. Let's get better together this summer!

We had 5 athletes compete at the FUJI Springfield tournament. We walked away with 5 golds and 1 silver. This was our first tournament of the year and the team performed extremely well while shaking off some rust. I am proud of everyone that competed and represented themselves and BGA. I have film to review, lesson plans to revise, and plenty to address before our next one. We are just beginning our next no gi cycle so now is a great time to stop in and become a part of our team! 3 months. 24 classes. 24 hours. That is the average time it takes to go from knowing no jiu jitsu to having success in the room. If you have been on the fence about trying it, do yourself a favor and stop in. I promise you won't be disappointed.
