iLEAD Academy students wrapped up an incredible week in Washington, D.C., competing at the TSA National Conference alongside some of the nation's top STEM students!

Throughout the competition, our students showcased innovative projects, connected with industry professionals, and gained invaluable real-world experience. Their hard work paid off with eight Top 10 finishes, the most Top 10 finishes in iLEAD Academy history!

We couldn't be prouder of these students for representing iLEAD Academy and Kentucky education on the national stage. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

What a truck-tastic day at Northside OVEC Head Start! 🚒🚜

Our students had a blast during their "Touch-a-Truck" event, where they explored a variety of vehicles up close and met some of the people who drive and operate them. From climbing aboard and honking the horns to learning about each vehicle's purpose, the children enjoyed a fun, interactive learning experience.

This year's lineup included a trolley, tractor, ambulance, school bus, fire truck, and semi-truck, making for a day full of curiosity, exploration, and smiles!

Reminiscing on the past school year, we're still smiling about this fun classroom activity where the Cedar Grove OVEC Head Start students created their very own popsicle stick bird feeders! 🐦

As they carefully built their feeders using popsicle sticks, glue, yarn, scissors, and birdseed, the children strengthened their fine motor skills, explored problem-solving, and learned about birds and their habitats. After hanging the feeders outside their classroom window, they loved observing and identifying the different birds that stopped by for a snack!

This week, the PRP OVEC Head Start little learners brought their gardening unit to life through art! The children explored the flowers they've been studying by painting their own colorful blooms, practicing creativity while learning more about the world growing around them. We love seeing hands-on learning blossom in the classroom! 🌱💐
