🎉 THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS FINALLY HERE! 🎉

We can’t wait to welcome our sweet students back in the morning! We are so excited for a wonderful year filled with learning, growing, and making memories together!❤️

As everyone heads to school for the first few mornings, please use extra caution and allow a little extra time. We will have a high volume of traffic around campus as students, families, and staff arrive.⚠️🚗

Drive slowly, be patient, and keep an eye out for our students!❤️

🍎And just like that, our first week back is in the books!🍎

What a great week at S.W. Carter Elementary! Our staff has been busy getting classrooms ready, making plans, preparing lessons, and getting everything in place for another amazing year!❤️

We wrapped up the week with Meet the Teachers last night, and we are officially ready to welcome our little Dragons back on Monday! We can’t wait to see all of our students and start a brand-new year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and memories!🥰

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful community partners who helped make our first week back extra special! 🤩

📝 Thank you to Farmers State Bank for providing an individual set of office supplies for each staff member! What a thoughtful way to help our teachers start the year prepared and ready to go!

🌮 Thank you to Shelby Savings Bank for treating our staff to breakfast tacos one morning this week! It was such a sweet way to fuel our teachers during a busy week.

We are so thankful for a community that continues to love and support our school and our staff!❤️

📢 🐉 Attention S.W. Carter Elementary Families! 🐉📢

As we prepare for another great school year, we are asking all parents/guardians to complete your child’s online registration packet as soon as possible. Completing your registration in its entirety helps us ensure we have accurate information to keep your child safe and allows us to prepare for a smooth start to the school year.

🚨 A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER – “RIGHT TO TRANSPORT” 🚨

One of the most important sections of the registration packet is the “Contact Information” section, which includes a check box for “Right to Transport.”

✅ If you want anyone other than the parent(s)/guardian(s) listed on the student’s enrollment to be able to pick up or check out your child, you MUST select “YES” for Right to Transport for that contact.

If this box is not checked, that person will not be authorized to pick up or check out your child.

✔️ Already completed your registration? No problem! You can simply log back into the Parent Portal and update the Contact Information-Right to Transport section at any time. It only takes a few minutes and can help prevent delays or frustration when someone needs to pick up your child.

💻 To update your registration:
• Log into the Parent Portal.
• Open your student’s registration.
• Review your contacts.
• Make sure “Right to Transport” is marked YES for anyone you authorize to pick up your child.
• Save your changes.
