Monday, October 12th, is a Teacher Workday, so there will be no school for students.
Springmore PTO Read-A-Thon officially kicks off on Monday, October 12th! We encourage all of our families to participate by creating your child's account, logging reading minutes, and helping us raise funds for an additional playground for our students. This is a great opportunity to encourage reading while supporting our school!
Next Friday, October 16th, we will not be allowing lunch visitors due to a Kindergarten Title I event taking place during our regular lunch periods. We appreciate your understanding!

πŸŽπŸŽƒπŸšœ Kindergarten had a fantastic day at Black’s Peaches in York, SC!

Our students enjoyed a hayride, corn maze, farm games, storytime, and hands-on learning about pumpkins, cotton, and life on the farm! πŸ„πŸŒ½ They even got to see a cow-milking demonstration!

The day ended with a yummy ice cream treat 🍦 and a mini pumpkin to take home. What a fun day of learning, exploring, and making memories! ❀️

Springmore PTO has decided to hold a Read-A-Thon this year!
Read-A-Thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.

Our Read-A-Thon starts Monday October 12, 2026.

About one week before our Read-A-Thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/323835363130/1?utm=email and following the simple instructions.

We've chosen Read-A-Thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.

We hope EVERYONE participates.

Thanks so much,

Springmore PTO

🍎🌽πŸͺ• Field Trip Fun! 🎻🏫
Yesterday our third graders had such a fun day stepping back in time and learning about how people lived long ago! Our students toured a grist mill, an old-fashioned home, a schoolhouse, and even got locked up in the jail! πŸ”πŸ˜„

We also enjoyed tasting apple c***r, making corn husk dolls, and listening to Appalachian music. It was a day full of hands-on learning, new experiences, and lots of smiles!

What a wonderful field trip and a great way to bring history to life! ❀️

πŸš’πŸ”₯ Fire Safety in First Grade! πŸ”₯πŸš’

Our first graders had a special visit from Boiling Springs Fire & Rescue today! Firefighters Blake Wilkey and Bobby Jones gave an excellent fire safety presentation and taught our students important tips for staying safe in an emergency.

A huge thank you to Boiling Springs Fire & Rescue for taking the time to visit, educate, and help keep our students safe! β€οΈπŸš’πŸ§―
