As we wrap up the final days of school, we have ONE last Lunch With A COP story to share… and let’s just say we saved the BEST for last! 👮‍♂️🐐💙

Lt. G. McKinney came to spend time with his lunch buddy, and he would probably tell you the “G” stands for G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) 😎🏆

During their time together, they sat down and talked about life, school, goals, and much more. This wasn’t their first encounter either — they’ve already built a strong connection and meaningful bond. Since meeting with Lt. McKinney, the student has shown improvement and has been having much better days at school. 🙌📚

Lt. McKinney has truly been an incredible mentor and positive influence, and we hope this relationship continues to grow even throughout the summer! ☀️🤝

“We all were very excited to have this great opportunity for the Lunch With A Cop program SRO Hart and social worker Ms. Hensley started at Shelby Middle School. We hope the program continues into the future and grows more interest. We look forward to being mentors and building bonds between law enforcement and the future of our community! We hope all children stay safe and have an awesome summer!” 💙👮‍♂️☀️

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this program such a success this year — especially everyone’s favorite SRO, SRO Hart, along with Ms. Hensley and all of the officers who took time to invest in our students. The future is bright for these Blue Devils! 🔵😈
