What is at the root of envy and jealousy? As Saul’s story continues, we discover what can happen when comparison takes hold of our hearts, and when another person’s success doesn’t simply feel like our failure, but begins to threaten our very sense of who we are.
Join us this Sunday for “The Green-Eyed Monster” as we explore Saul’s struggle with jealousy and discover how an identity grounded in Christ can free us from this monster of an emotion.

🎉 50 YEARS OF FAITH, LOVE & LITTLE ONES! 🎉

What a joyful morning at First Baptist Church as we celebrated 50 years of Weekday Ministries Child Care and Mother’s Morning Out!

Today we recognized the many people who have been part of this incredible story including staff, past and present; current students and alumni; families across multiple generations; and all those who have prayed for, supported and loved this ministry through the years.

Approximately 5,000 children have walked through our doors over the past 50 years. What a blessing to think of the countless lives touched, friendships formed, lessons learned and seeds of faith planted along the way!

To God be the glory for 50 wonderful years! ❤️

Isaiah tells us to lift our eyes to the heavens and remember just how big our God really is. The One who calls every star by name is the same One who has held our Weekday Ministries close for 50 years.

Almost a week until we celebrate "50 years of excellence" in FBC Shelby Child Care and Mother's Morning Out. This special Sunday service will be held on August 23rd at 9:30 AM. We encourage anyone with ties to FBC Child Care and Mother's Morning Out to join us in the sanctuary at 9 AM. We will be singing some of the songs that have been a beloved part of this program throughout the past 50 years.
