The custom changing table/dresser is complete! The color is English Moss by Rethunk Junk. I used antique brown glaze to bring out any details and give the piece dimension. Tuff Top in Low Luster was used to protect it from wear and tear. This special piece is going to a special momma and daddy! We have known Katie since she was a little girl. She used to play with our daughter (technically my step daughter, but I claim her too lol). Katie already has special k***s picked out for this piece. I didn’t get a before picture with the drawers in it. JR brought it home disassembled and I painted the drawer fronts without putting them in until they were done. I can’t wait to see this complete with the k***s in the nursery! All the Rethunk Junk products can be purchased at The Little Shops of Shelby! Contest time! I feel very strongly about reusing items or salvaged items for projects. If there is something that can be rescued from the landfill and made into something useful, I love to be part of that process. With that being said, here is the contest: Pictured are three different items that have been rescued this summer. Two of the items were literally pulled from the trash when we went driving around Ashland, the other was left behind at my brother’s rental. I will redo or repurpose whichever item receives the most votes by Wednesday the 19th of August and post pictures of the progress as we go along. All you have to do is put the number in the comments. 1 is the glass terrarium 2 is the buoys and 3 is the sewing machine. Happy voting!

I did a little freshening up at our new booth location and a few new items were added! All of our paints now have a clear seal on them to help prevent any accidents. I just want you to be aware that it is there and can be easily removed before opening our Rethunk Junk paint products.

On our way back from the gym we delivered the backpacks and supplies we got donated from Amazon to the 3-5 pod at Shelby City Schools. We applied for this as a business that delivers Amazon. There are 60 backpacks available with a lunchbox and a few extra goodies! These will be at the open house this week. Haymaker photography applied and received backpacks for the preK-2 pod also. We are happy and blessed to be able to give back to the community through Amazon

I just finished this phone bench. Jen and I are divided on the shade of stain. It is good to have someone in your life who will tell you what they really think. It keeps you honest. For now, I am going to try to sell it the way it is because I like the contrast. If it sits too long I will lighten it up lol.
