Wanda's Wish Scholarship Fund

THANKFUL Thursday!!!! After 6 days of selling WW masks, we've sold 75 masks and have had 3 fabulous people donate! One of our donors said, "These masks are priceless because of what they're doing to help these kids!" That donor paid $100 for his mask. One of our regular show sponsors gave a very generous donation even though we can't have a show. I'm so thankful for everyone who has given and so thankful for those of you that will give in the future. Wanda would be proud! Now keep it coming ❤️

Hey Wanda's Wish family and friends! During this crazy time we have found ourselves in, we have not had the beautiful opportunity to do our Night of Wishes show to raise scholarship funds. I've worried and thought hard and prayed harder about whether I should even attempt to keep trying to raise funds. I thought maybe it's going to be impossible or maybe it's too hard right now or maybe it's just not worth the blood,sweat and tears to keep this fund going. But....through all the soul searching, the thought I kept having was, with the way the world is now, everyone needs a huge dose of WANDA! Her drive and faith and unfailing love of humanity. Her belief in a hand up but not a hand out. Her fervent desire to raise up her fellow human beings because we could all be better and do more with just a little support. I've got to keep this fund going and this raising up of our young people going. For her and for us all. So, for the short term, we are selling masks with the WW logo. Let me know if you need some or would like to sell some for us. They're $12 or 2 masks for $20. We've got kiddos counting on us to raise $6000 for them for college this year and the Wanda in me will not let them down. Any mask purchase or donations of any kind would be much appreciated! ❤️

The star of this wish Wednesday is Katelyn Tessneer. Katelyn is finishing up her associates degree at Cleveland Community College with plans to continue her education at Gardner Webb. She hopes to earn a degree in elementary education. Katelyn has a full fall schedule with working full time, attending CCC and getting married in November. We are so proud of you and are here to cheer you on for all
your big life events!

This wish Wednesday is brought to you by Caroline Yount. Caroline is a junior at NC State University and plans to come home to Cleveland County to teach Agriculture Education. It's been a joy watching you grow from a little girl playing with bugs to a grown girl working with all kinds of animals. We're so proud of you!

We are extremely proud of our students and the work they're putting in. To show you who our organization is impacting, we want to highlight each of our students and their accomplishments. We're kicking off with our senior students, Maddie England and Mindy Putnam. Maddie is finishing up her degree in Public Relations at the University of Georgia and Mindy is currently doing her student teaching so she can graduate from UNC Charlotte in December. Both Maddie and Mindy express similar thoughts when asked what Wanda's Wish means to them: "Truly my wish to graduate might not have been possible without Wanda's Wish."
We are so proud of you both and hope you enjoy the remainder of your senior year and finish strong!
