Welcome Back, Knights!❤️🖤

Today marks the beginning of an exciting new school year as we officially welcome our incredible teachers back to James Love Elementary!

Our first day together is all about laying the foundation for a successful year. We will be building relationships, reviewing important policies and procedures, and preparing to give every student the very best experience possible.

A winning culture doesn’t happen by chance. It is built by dedicated educators who lead with heart, purpose, and a commitment to excellence. We are grateful for this amazing team and can’t wait to see all that we accomplish together.

⭐️Third Grade⭐️

This is my second year teaching 3rd grade at James Love.

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends hanging out or playing games. My hobbies are watching my teenagers play sports and being active in my community with the Pilot Club and Anchor Club.

Fun fact: I have NEVER been put to sleep for any kind of procedures.

I am excited for this school year to see what new opportunities I will have to improve my career as a teacher and help advance my students forward.

⭐️Fourth Grade⭐️

Hello! My name is Taylor Bennett, and I am so excited to welcome everyone to another amazing school year! This is my 12th year teaching and my third year teaching 4th grade math. I love helping students build confidence in math, develop problem-solving skills, and discover that learning can be both fun and rewarding.

When I'm not at school, I stay busy with my three children, who are 14, 11, and 3 years old. They keep our family on th go with all of their sports, activities, and adventures, so there is never a dull moment!

I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and helping them grow throughout the year. I am super excited to be back at school and can't wait to start another great year filled with learning, laughter, and success. Let's make this our best year yet!

Hi! My name is Kristian Staymate, and I work in sail pre-k. This will be my second year at James Love and I am so excited to meet the new kiddos and watch them succeed in their own amazing ways.

When I’m not at school I enjoy taking my 2 wonderful kids on adventures, reading a good book, attending church activities, and watching my oldest play sports. A little fun fact about myself is that I’ve rode a dolphin!

Hi, my name is Jamie Hougas. I am a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 2. I have been married for 28 years. I am originally from Chicago, IL but have lived in Shelby for 15 years. Fun fact about me is I am an avid fortnite player.

This will be my second year at James Love but I have worked for Cleveland County School District for many years in many different capacities. I will be the Behavior Interventionist teacher for the upcoming school year. I am looking forward to working with this amazing staff and our amazing students.

Hey y’all! I’m Jonie Stumbo and I am the self-contained pre-k teacher at James Love Elementary. This will be my 8th year in education and my 4th year at James Love.

I enjoy sewing, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I am so excited for this coming school year and to watch my students grow.
