Many North Carolina colleges and universities offer application fee waivers during College Application Week, making it a great time to get those applications submitted.

Cleveland County Schools is excited to announce a new partnership with Gardner-Webb University that will create additional opportunities for eligible high school students to earn college credit while still in high school, beginning in Fall 2027.

Through this dual enrollment agreement, students will have access to select college courses, academic advising and enrollment support, helping them explore their interests, prepare for life after graduation and get a head start on their future.

We appreciate Gardner-Webb University’s commitment to investing in our students and expanding educational opportunities across Cleveland County. Together, we are helping students build a strong foundation for success in college, careers and beyond!

October is National Principals Month, and we’re proud to recognize the dedicated leaders who make a difference in our schools every day!

Our principals do so much more than lead their schools. They build relationships, encourage their teams, solve challenges, and work hard to make sure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Cleveland County Schools officially welcomes Dr. Chris Bennett as our new superintendent!

Dr. Bennett was officially sworn in by Judge Sally Kirby-Turner, marking an exciting milestone for our district. We look forward to the leadership and vision he will bring as we continue working together to support our students, staff, and families.

Step right up for a week of fun in our cafeterias! National School Lunch Week is coming October 13–16, and this year’s theme is “Cafeteria Circus: Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!”

A nutritious lunch helps students stay fueled, focused, and ready to learn, play, and grow. Our amazing school nutrition team is bringing the excitement all week with tasty, balanced meals and a little extra fun along the way.

Students can join us for lunch each day and receive a FREE treat!
