A quality ultrasound image takes skill, precision and attention to detail.

Sonographers have to consider things like:

🩻 Proper positioning
🔎 Correct depth
💡 Appropriate gain
🧠 Clear anatomy
🏷️ Proper labeling

Every adjustment matters when you're trying to capture the images needed for evaluation.

That’s one of the many skills that makes medical sonography more than just taking a picture.

🩻 It’s Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month!

You probably know ultrasound from pregnancy appointments, but there’s a whole lot more to sonography than that. 👀

Ultrasound is used to create images of everything from the heart and blood vessels to the thyroid, kidneys and other organs—and skilled sonographers play an important role in helping healthcare providers see what’s happening inside the body.

Throughout October, we’ll be sharing facts, career info, and a closer look at the world of medical sonography.
