The teachers I had the opportunity to connect with during our New Teacher Orientations in Great Falls and Cut Bank are truly top-tier! I’m so excited to see the positive influence these educators will have in our schools and the lasting impact they’ll make on students.

I wanted to share a few pictures from one of their favorite activities—a team scavenger hunt! The fun and collaboration led into meaningful conversations about metacognition, best practices, and practical tools that can help teachers make significant progress toward goal setting, student efficacy, and instructional goals that create lasting impact.

What an incredible group of educators! I can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year. 🍎

The GTCC Fall In-Service brought many of our schools, administration, and teachers together for a wonderful day of learning with keynote speaker Katie Novak— who brought innovative ideas and models for research-based practices and lesson planning to broaden the impact and reach of standards driven lessons.
A big thank you to Katie for coming to Montana, and to all of our schools for their demonstration of school spirit and preparation for the 2026-2027 school year!
