When life threw Joedonnas Bennett a curveball, the CCC Foundation stepped in.

As a single mom working part-time and attending CCC full-time, Joedonnas was determined to earn her degree. But when unexpected car repairs left her without transportation—again—her future felt uncertain. That’s when the CCC Foundation showed up.

By covering the cost of her repairs, the Foundation removed a major obstacle, allowing Joedonnas to stay on track, graduate Cum Laude, and land her dream job. “The Foundation truly lives up to its name. It restored my hope, lightened my load, and helped me reach my goals.”

Today, she’s giving back as a full-time Enrollment Specialist at CCC, guiding new students on their own journeys—and continuing her own, pursuing a bachelor’s degree while raising two amazing kids. “Our beginnings don’t define our endings. I’m living proof of that.”

📣 Exciting Leadership Announcement!

We are proud to announce Grayson Pierce as the new Executive Director of the Cleveland Community College Foundation!

A lifelong resident of Cleveland County, Grayson’s deep local roots and unwavering dedication to education and community make him an outstanding choice to lead the Foundation into its next chapter.

Grayson brings with him a rich background in both education and athletics, having spent 14 years teaching and coaching men’s basketball at Kings Mountain High School. In August 2022, he made history by becoming Cleveland Community College’s first-ever men’s basketball coach, marking a pivotal moment for our athletics program.

That same year, Grayson joined the Foundation as Gifts Coordinator, where he has played a key role in strengthening donor relations and expanding support for CCC students. His passion for student success and community impact has been evident in every aspect of his work.

Now, as Executive Director, Grayson is poised to lead the Foundation with vision, heart, and a deep commitment to advancing opportunities for the students and communities we serve.

Outside the office, Grayson is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Lindsay, have been married for 16 years and are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Easton (12), Liam (9), and Livi Gray (6).

Softball plays at Mercer County Community College (Trenton, New Jersey) on Friday in a best-of-3 series. The winner will advance to the Division II softball college world series.

The Lady Yetis will play 2 games on Friday at 12 and 2:30 pm (weather permitting), and if necessary, 1 game on Saturday at noon.
