Piano is the instrument I use when teaching voice. I can find your speaking range..and your vocal range. What is the "colour and timbre" of YOUR voice? It actually does matter when making song selections to perform. Sure we can 'transpose" songs but the margin is limited. Either your up or down an "octave", or on the origional note. And going too far from the origional? You could loose the integrity of the song and leave your audience scratching their heads, and looking at you sideways!
Sure you could Google the words in quotes..but nothing takes the place of a exsperienced Vocal coach..

Expand your mind! Music is a world of its own!
A man named Tim has held the world record for the lowest ever recorded vocal note since 2012. The note is a ridiculously low G - 7 or 0.189 Hz. To put that into perspective, G - 7 is 8 octaves lower than the lowest G note on a piano! Tim holds two Guinness World Records for "lowest note produced by a human" and the "widest vocal range". His voice is so unique that it has landed him with work in advertising and other high-profile recording opportunities and he even sings with his booming vocals.
