3 DAYS. ONE LEGEND. 🦁👑

Three days in the chair bringing this entire piece to life.

A warrior.
A lion.
A crown.
And a whole lot of detail packed into one arm.

This was one of those tattoos where every section had to work with the next — from the warrior’s face and flowing hair, to the crown, the lion’s expression, and all the ornamental details tying everything together.

Black & grey, heavy contrast, fine detail, and a whole lot of time under the needle.

Three days. Three sessions. One finished piece.

Huge respect to my client for sitting through the process and trusting me to bring the vision together.

30 years of tattooing and I still love getting lost in pieces like this.

For years you’ve known me as a tattoo artist.

This weekend, I get to share something I’ve been building beyond the tattoo chair.

I’ll be bringing Ink Never Dies to the Black River Tattoo Expo, along with a limited release of the characters and artifacts from the world I’ve been creating. What started as sketches, stories, late nights, and crazy ideas has slowly become something real.

Another client, coming back for more ink therapy! 🤩

This tattoo is inspired by her love of camping with her family.... And the weather is perfect right now for spending time enjoying nature! 🌲🫶

Bonus: when the sky is nothing but grey and the bitter cold 🥶 returns next winter, she'll have this beautiful, colorful tattoo to look at and warm her spirit! 🔥😁

Second session on Amanda Bennett, finishing the back of her calf. Her only regret- that she loves it so much and wishes she could see it easier 😉

With her skin being so pale, I opted for these muted but vibrant purple colors for the houses. Not only is it a great contrast to all of the greenery, but black would have looked too bold and harsh for the look we were going for.

P.S. Amanda tattooed those cranes on herself and did such a great job! 🥳👍

A beautiful rural Japanese forest and architecture scene. 🌳

I enjoyed tattooing this because it challenged my idea of what one would expect from a traditional Japanese style tattoo. I had to pull knowledge from multiple styles to create the look she was going for.

This regular loves her ink therapy! And that's what we are known for at our shop! 🥰

🌊The small turtle on her hand inspired the start of this ocean/tropical themed sleeve. On the other side she has a palm tree... 🌴Stay tuned for more additions and how the design all comes together!
