👕 REMINDER: Dojo T-Shirt Time is coming to an end! 👕

Students may wear their dojo T-shirts to class through August 31st. Beginning September 1st, we will be back to wearing our full uniforms (gi) to class.

Enjoy the last few days of T-shirt time, and please make sure your uniform is ready to go! 🥋

For those who were at last night’s Black Belt class, this is the book and idea that Sensei was talking about: The Obstacle Is the Way by Ryan Holiday.

One of the lessons from the book is that the obstacles and challenges we encounter aren’t necessarily things standing in our way - they can become the very things that help us grow. Patience is the ballast that keeps us steady when progress is slow, challenges arise, or things don’t go according to plan.

In martial arts, as in life, we don’t always control what happens to us - but we can control how we respond. Stay calm, stay patient, and keep moving forward! 🥋💪

🍂🥋 Fall Friendship Tournament! 🥋🍂

Mark your calendars! Our upcoming Friendship Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Oakland University!

This exciting event is open to students of ALL ages and ranks and is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, demonstrate your skills, support your teammates, and enjoy a fun day of martial arts competition and camaraderie!

🥋 Dojo Buddy Day was a success! 👊

This week, our youth students had the opportunity to bring a friend along to class and introduce them to the fun, challenge, and camaraderie of martial arts!

It was great seeing our students share something they enjoy with their friends - and even better seeing so many new faces stepping onto the mat, trying something new, and getting a taste of what we do here at Dynamic Martial Arts.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped make Buddy Day such a fun experience! 🙌

Today and tomorrow are Dojo Buddy Days at DMA! Our youth students are invited to bring ONE friend to class to experience the fun of martial arts training together.

👉 Youth classes only
👉 One friend per student
👉 A completed permission slip must be turned in for your friend to participate
