I'm finally at a very comfortable point with Poshmark's sales that I could eliminate eBay and not miss it. Instead, I turned off offers and turned off returns. I was getting 1-2 returns a week for months and my final straw was 4 in a week, 2 being false "Item not as described" where I had to foot the shipping expenses to and from and eat my transaction fees. ๐คฌ
It's been over a month now and the results are - - not one return. I have fewer sales, but those sales are higher. It's worth mentioning that I have had 1 return my entire time on Poshmark and it was my fault. Mistakes happen. Every other false INAD or issue has been resolved in my favor as Poshmark has given me excellent seller support. ๐๐
Set your worth as a reseller. Despite everyone shoving "crosslisting" down your throat, depending on what you're selling, it could be more profitable to focus on one platform. You can continue to crosslist. I do. But the other platforms are afterthoughts.
I understand this doesn't work for everyone and it's scary putting all of your eggs in one basket. This isn't for everyone. I have a career aside from reselling, so I can afford to take risks maybe others can't. But I will continue to share my experiences with those who can't take the risks in hopes you can learn from them! ๐ค

What the what? ๐ง๐๐๐
I'm a grandma so I shouldn't be passing this judgment, but almost every low ball offer I get on Poshmark is attached to a profile name of a grandmother or has a profile picture of an older woman!๐
Do you think the way you're dressed and what you drive affects what deals you're given at garage sales when they haven't priced their items? ๐ค
Usually these types of sales don't bother me because they give me a reasonable price when I pick something up. Today I was dressed nice, driving my Caddy, and two garage sales gave me the most outrageous prices when I was looking. Or do you think it's just the "eBaY PrIcEs" that are probably more to blame?๐คจ

Finding a dozen pairs of fast selling jeans for a buck a piece including several Madewell in the first hour thrifting makes me want to quit my day job. ๐
I'll be going to garage sales this weekend and in preparation, I am lifting 2 pound weights. Why, you ask? Because my favorite form of haggling is picking something up and putting it down, and going back to it and repeating this until the homeowner offers me a deal I can't refuse! ๐ They get excited to sell it, then disappointed, then excited, then disappointed...until they just can't take the roller coaster anymore! FB keeps showing me decluttering posts. Like, sir, I don't have clutter, I have inventory ๐คจ๐
I just made my first sale on Vinted! I think I'll love this platform for odds & ends I can sell under $10! Have you tried it?
I wasn't going to list anything today after a long day. My sales have been good and I was tired. I sat down to relax and - BOOM - 3 back-to-back sales came through. Now it's 10pm and I'm listing until I can't keep my eyes open. It's odd actually how making money motivates me to make more money, but when sales are slow I feel like I'm dragging in the mud. Is this a reseller thing or a Carrie thing?! ๐ค๐
I'm going to share a new sourcing secret and it's completely free except for initial equipment costs!
Climb some random mountains or go to the beach with a metal detector.
Then resell whatever cool old junk you find.
Oh...and let me know how you do because I'm too lazy to climb mountains but can apparently shop for 5 hours straight without eating, drinking, or peeing ๐๐๐
