Little Explorer's Preschool

Happy Monday! This year is flying by! Today we kicked off our study on St. Patrick’s Day! We will use the holiday to create hands-on activities throughout the next two weeks!

Today we kicked off the day with asking if anyone is wearing the color blue. We then counted each side and added the total to find out how many friends were here today. We also use this time talk about more and less. We went over our sight words. This week we added the word "see." So far they have mastered the words "the" and "has."

For circle time we counted to 100 doing silly movements, and introduced counting by 5's. We will continue to switch back and forth with counting by 10's and 5's until we have master both. We then danced to our letter sounds using movements to master the upper and lowercase letters along with the sound it makes.

For small group we worked on writing our names using shamrocks, we used our counting skills to count the rainbows and practiced tracing the correct number. We also brought out a new construction sensory tray.

To end the day we read "Happy St. Patricks Day."

Hi everyone!

It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update, but we just wanted to say what a great start we’ve had to the school year here at Little Explorer’s Preschool.

The kids have settled into their routines so nicely, and it’s been amazing to see new friendships forming and their confidence growing each week. It’s been such a fun season already!

We are so thankful for all of our families and the excitement your kiddos bring into the classroom every day. We’re looking forward to an amazing year!

Back to School Storytime & Craft Event!
Date: Saturday, August 23rd
Time: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Ages: 2 to 6 years (with a parent)

Join us for a fun-filled morning to get your little one excited for the new school year!
We’ll kick things off with a few cheerful back-to-school books, followed by some lively music and movement activities to get the wiggles out. Then, children will enjoy creating a special Back to School craft to take home — perfect to get them ready for the upcoming school year!

Whether your child is starting school for the first time or returning for a new year, this is a great opportunity to share special memories together.
