Join us June 15–18 for four days of skill development, teamwork, and fun!

⛹️ 7th–12th Grade Boys: 8:00–10:00 a.m.
⛹️ 3rd–6th Grade Girls & Boys: 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

💲 Cost: $50

Attention Incoming Freshmen!

The Annual Asparagus Day Parade is quickly approaching and will take place on Saturday, June 13th, at 2:00 PM.

If you are participating with the band, please remember that call time is 10:30 AM in the Shelby High School Band Room. Arriving on time will allow us to prepare, rehearse, and get organized before the parade begins.

We are excited to have our upcoming freshmen join us for this community tradition. Thank you for your commitment and enthusiasm—we look forward to representing Shelby with pride!

Today, we had the privilege of recognizing the hard work, dedication, growth, and accomplishments of our Shelby Middle School students during our annual Awards Assembly. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved throughout the 2025–2026 school year.

We also took time to celebrate a special milestone as we honored our 8th-grade students who are preparing to begin their next chapter at Shelby High School. While it is bittersweet to see them leave our halls, we are excited to watch them continue to grow, succeed, and represent Shelby Tiger Pride as future freshmen.

If you were unable to attend the Awards Assembly, we invite you to enjoy our 8th Grade Tribute Video and join us in celebrating the memories, friendships, and accomplishments of the Class of 2030.

Today, Shelby Middle School proudly celebrated the remarkable career of Mrs. Jeanne Newman, whose dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to students have made a lasting impact on our school community.

After decades of service in education, Mrs. Newman will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout her career, she has touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues through her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to helping others succeed.

Mrs. Newman has been a valued member of the Shelby Middle School family, consistently demonstrating care, patience, and a commitment to excellence. Her influence extends far beyond the classroom, leaving a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Today, we had the opportunity to honor and celebrate her many contributions, share memories, and express our gratitude for the positive difference she has made in the lives of so many.

On behalf of Shelby Middle School and Shelby Public Schools, we thank Mrs. Newman for her years of service, dedication, and the countless ways she has enriched our school community. We wish her a well-deserved retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and many new adventures.
