I had thought I could repair any student Armstrong flute after my summer tech sessions. But, today I got stumped! A students flute got badly bent in a defective case and I have no intention on a rebuild. So, off to my pro I go...

Well, I've been away teaching and playing the past few weeks but it's time to get back to work. Two flute pad repairs and 2 donated overhauls to work on!

I met up with Sue today to take possession of her moms 1940s flute ❤ Time to order parts and get moving after camp. Challenge accepted.

It's so important to teach young flute players how to properly care for their instruments regardless of the model.

When you don't swab your flute after playing the moisture will eventually destroy the pads and head joint cork affecting the sound (not to mention the nasty smell of decay).
