Our Story
Child Lures Prevention/Teen Lures Prevention is based in Shelburne, Vermont - and reaches worldwide. Our mission began in 1985, and continues today: we are here to help parents/guardians, educators and community stakeholders prevent crimes against children and youth through awareness, evidence-based education and encouraged reporting. Together, we can make this a safer and gentler world for all children.
Leaders in primary prevention for thirty-five years, child safety experts Rosemary Webb and Jennifer Mitchell have unequalled experience working with parents/guardians, schools, child advocacy centers, and faith-based and youth-serving organizations in an effort to provide safe environments for children and teens.
Teen Lures Prevention was launched in 2008 in an effort to make personal safety education more relevant and appealing to teens by involving them in the learning process via peer teaching. As President Emeritus, Founder Ken Wooden is still very active in his lifelong efforts to protect children and youth around the world.
