Ms. Duval’s third grade students brought science outside to see if they could out-run a dinosaur! Students used real dinosaur tracks to compare their strides with these ancient creatures.

Junior, Rosie, completed her Studio course in oil painting. Through her studies, she focused on oil techniques, concept building and breaking away from traditional painting methods to allow for more fluid, gesture-like painting. For her final piece, she decided to paint a traditional portrait of four birds.

This week, UME Kindergarten students partnered with Sheffield Land Trust member, Erna Lampman, and Melissa Martin of Dandelion Hill Farm for a hands-on farm experience! After starting squash seeds with Erna in May and caring for them in their classrooms, students planted them at the farm. They also collected chicken eggs, tasted farm-fresh honey and chèvre, and learned about milking goats. Students will return this fall as first graders to harvest their squash. A special thank you to the Sheffield Land Trust for sponsoring this wonderful learning opportunity!

Our Aerospace Engineering class would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff at Walter J. Koladza Airport for hosting us and providing such an informative and engaging experience. We greatly appreciated learning about airplane control surfaces, aircraft maintenance and repairs, and the day-to-day operations that keep the airfield running safely and efficiently. Your knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to share your expertise made our visit both educational and memorable. Thank you for your time, hospitality, and dedication to inspiring the next generation of aerospace professionals.
