A little reminder we spotted on the bulletin board at Sheffield High School, and we couldn’t love it more.

“A mentor is someone who allows you to see hope inside yourself.”

That’s what Aim High is all about. Our mentors show up, listen, encourage, laugh, challenge, and remind their Littles that they are capable of so much more than they may sometimes see in themselves.

Sometimes all a young person needs is someone in their corner saying, “I see it in you.”

Here’s to another year of building relationships, growing confidence, and helping our Littles see the hope that’s already inside them.

Today we celebrate the retirement of an incredible leader, mentor, and advocate for children.

Thank you for your years of dedication to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Shoals and for the impact you’ve made on so many young people in our community. Your leadership and commitment to our mission have helped create opportunities for so many children to reach their full potential.

As you begin this new chapter, we wish you all the best and thank you for the legacy you leave behind. Your influence will continue to be felt through the lives you’ve touched and the relationships you’ve helped build.
