📣 WE’RE HIRING! Join the Roman Avery Academy Team!

Do you love working with kids and creating a fun, positive environment where they can learn, play, and connect? Roman Avery Academy is looking for an energetic and dependable team member to join our K–5 After School Club!

📚 Position: Academy / After School Club Team Member
💰 Pay: $20.00/hour
⏰ Approximately 15 hours per week

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 3:00–4:45 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Monday through Thursday, you’ll spend your afternoons with our K–5 students in After School Club—helping them unwind after the school day through activities, games, creative projects, play, and time with friends.

On Fridays, you’ll work with our Academy students throughout the day, assisting with activities, projects, supervision, and the overall flow of the program.

We’re looking for someone who is:
✨ Energetic, positive, and engaging
✨ Dependable and takes initiative
✨ Comfortable working with children in kindergarten through fifth grade
✨ Able to create fun while providing appropriate structure and expectations
✨ Great at building positive relationships with students
✨ Someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids!

🎭 Big News from Roman Avery Academy! 🎭

We are thrilled to announce that Roman Avery Academy is now an officially licensed Music Theatre International (MTI) school!

This exciting partnership allows our students to perform officially licensed Broadway Junior® and MTI musicals, bringing incredible theatrical experiences to our school and community.

At Roman Avery Academy, we believe education extends far beyond the classroom. Musical theatre gives students the opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership skills, strengthen communication, work collaboratively, and discover talents they may never have realized they had.

Whether a student dreams of being center stage, designing costumes, building sets, operating lights and sound, or working behind the scenes, there is a place for everyone in theatre.

This is just another exciting step in our commitment to providing authentic, hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity, build confidence, and prepare students for success in school and in life.

Summer Camp Fun in Full Swing!

Today our campers got their hands dirty in the best way! 🏖️From sensory sand play and messy exploration to creating beautiful nature-inspired sand art with flowers, every activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and imaginative play.

Watching children explore, create, and learn through play is what summer camp is all about! 💛

We can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings!

🌿💧 Outdoor Science in Action! 💧🌿

Today our students became young environmental scientists as they explored the fascinating world of water filtration using natural materials found outdoors! 🍃🪵🪨

Using leaves, grass, soil, and other elements from nature, students investigated how water can be filtered and cleaned through different layers and materials. Through hands-on experimentation, they observed how muddy water changed as it passed through their homemade filtration systems.

This outdoor learning experience encouraged:
✨ Critical thinking
✨ Problem-solving
✨ Teamwork
✨ Environmental awareness
✨ Scientific inquiry

There’s nothing better than learning through discovery — especially under the sunshine and surrounded by nature! ☀️🌎
