Dear Cardinal Family,
It is with great sadness I share that Dave Lottig, one of our beloved teachers, passed away this week. Our entire Cardinal family is mourning this tremendous loss. Mr. Lottig's impact has reached far beyond the walls of a classroom, and he dedicated his life to supporting, inspiring, and caring for countless students throughout his career. Dave's kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our children has left a positive mark on our schools and our community.
During this difficult time, please keep Dave's family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives were changed by his presence in your thoughts and prayers.
We recognize that this news may be challenging for our students and families and we encourage you to speak with your children about their feelings and provide them with the support they may need.
If you feel your son or daughter would benefit from speaking with a member of our student services department, please call the Brookside Intermediate school office at 440-949-4237 between 8 am and 3 pm. We will make sure you or your child is scheduled for an appointment with a school or grief counselor next week.
