It's Star Wars day! That means that YMS is only 2 days away! Make sure you have your tickets for the 3:30 or 6:00 show on May 6th.

Are you excited, because we are! Remember tickets can be purchased from the Weill Center box office, open Tuesday-Friday 12:00-5:00 PM.

If you're free this coming Saturday, remember to come out to the beautiful Weill Center to support local music students and the MMTA Music Awards Fund!

Tickets are $10/advance, $15/at the door and can be purchased from the Weill Center box office or a participating teacher.

P.S. Maybe you'll see someone playing this way?! It promotes strong thighs and you can even skip leg day😜

Tricia Marton is the biggest driving force behind YMS' success every year! Not only does she handle coordination of volunteers and organize advertising and printed materials, but she also communicates with teachers, sponsors, etc. She takes care of all the behind-the-scenes details AND hosts each show on the day of the event! MMTA is grateful for her diligence in making YMS a wonderful event for the community. 🎼🎤

We are a group of local music teachers in the Sheboygan county and surrounding areas. We promote professional fraternity and professional growth, encourage high standards in music instruction, and provide quality performance opportunities for students.

We are a local district organization that is under the umbrella of the National Music Teachers Association and the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association and support their objectives, which are to advance the value of music study & music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers.

YMS is a fundraiser...but for what?!

Funds remaining after expenses get put into the Michibago Music Teachers Association awards fund. One of the most popular student awards is for Summer Music Camp; this award helps families defray the cost of music camp tuition. MMTA gives abut $1,000 annually to Summer Music Camp awards!

Did you know...Students who have participated in 5 years or 10 years of YMS receive recognition at the performance, as well as a medallion??? 🎖🎖🎖🎹🎹🎹

Not only will you hear solo performances, but also duets! Duets are an awesome way for students to bond and share music together. They require different skills from solos and are so much fun to listen to!

Come out on May 6th at 3:30 or 6:00 to listen to solos & duets! Remember, tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
