✨ 🎶 Our preschool program is growing, and we are excited to announce our Sponsor-An-Instrument Fundraiser as we prepare to join the Sheboygan Area School District next year! We are proud to house a dedicated music program for children ages 2-5. No amount is too small to help us continue to provide quality music experiences for our young learners. Sponsored instruments will be showcased at our concert in March 2027.

Our 3K class has been exploring all of the animal sounds in “The Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saens! 🎶 🦁 🦢
This week our focus has been on fossils and the sounds of the xylophone as we explore the piece “Fossils.” Students were able to see fossils up close, imagine the sounds they might make, then used their “dinosaur bone” rhythm sticks to make art to the music!

See any signs of spring? Our 3k Fireflies sure have! They’ve had a blast learning about birds, nests, worms and flowers over the last couple weeks.

We had the absolutely pleasure of partnering with Above and Beyond Children’s Museum last week as part of a Pilot Program between Firefly and ABCM! Check out the comments for details on their visit. Our students had so much fun!

Throughout the month of January, the 4K class has been joyfully participating in an Orff music unit. Students have been learning how to hold mallets (we also use our fun “firefly antennae” resting position!), create beautiful sound, distinguish between high and low sounds, and keep a steady beat.

Orff-based music activities support creativity, active listening skills, and early motor development while encouraging joyful music-making. 🎶 ✨
