Examine how traditional First Nations’ ways of knowing, being and doing can support balance and holistic well-being for all. Limited to 25 participants. Monica Garcia, the morning ceremony student commencement speaker this spring, is nothing if not dedicated. She has refined her passion for helping others through her double majors in Democracy and Justice Studies and Psychology, and gone a step further with her double minor. Monica truly represents the real meaning of being a Phoenix - through empathy, peer guidance, and connection.
Monica has risen from a nervous first-generation student just starting her journey at , to a true leader in Green Bay. Her peers and mentors both commend Monica for her perseverance and strength, overcoming any challenges she faces.
