Coach Beck is excited to join the coaching staff at Liberty Christian Academy and continue building a strong foundation for student-athletes both on and off the field. A lifelong athlete, he played basketball throughout high school in Reeds Spring, Missouri, where he was later honored with induction into the school’s Hall of Fame. He went on to play soccer at Oklahoma State University, further developing his passion for competition, teamwork, and leadership.

Since moving to Shawnee, he has been actively involved in youth sports, coaching his two sons in multiple sports and investing in the next generation of athletes. Coach Beck has been the president of the Shawnee Soccer Association for about 5 years. He recently launched Liberty’s soccer program from the ground up and is eager to see it continue to grow and thrive. He is also looking forward to the upcoming basketball season.

We are excited to welcome Andy Booker as the new Liberty varsity boys coach.

Andy was born and raised in McPherson, Kansas, but moved to Wichita his senior year. He graduated from Wichita Heights High School, where he received scholarships for both football and music.

After college, Andy worked for his family’s bicycle shop in Wichita until 2002, when he moved to Nebraska to serve as a Territory Manager for Oakley. In 2012, Andy and his wife, Crystal, were married, and together they opened The Booker Agency (Farmers Insurance) in 2013.

In 2016, they founded By The Book Ministries, an organization that serves the church, schools, and orphanages in Kenya. In 2021, following their faith, they relocated to Shawnee, Oklahoma. They attended church meetings in Prague for several years before joining the Liberty community, where they are now active members.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of By The Book Ministries, and Andy was ordained as a Reverend in January. Andy and Crystal remain dedicated to leadership and coaching as they look forward to this next chapter.
