🎓 MCA ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | CHRISTA BERGERHOFER ’12 🦅
We’re excited to spotlight Christa Bergerhofer, Class of 2012!
Christa’s MCA story began in Kindergarten and continued all the way through her senior year. And today, that story has come full circle in some pretty special ways. 💚💛
Christa met her husband, Brady, at MCA, and they have now been married for 12 years. Together they have three beautiful daughters, all of whom attend MCA today.
“It is amazing how God orchestrates full-circle moments like this. Being a mother to my three children is my greatest gift.”
Christa has been a pediatric nurse for 12 years and currently works at Children’s Mercy Hospital on the Nurse Advice Line. But she says one of her very favorite roles is serving as the school nurse right here at MCA!
“What a blessing it is to work at the same school that poured so much into my life and shaped me into who I am today. I truly love these kids I get to serve!”
Some of Christa’s favorite MCA memories come from her senior year — learning history from Mr. Hoduski, being prayed for and discipled by teachers, Mr. Wagner’s Bible class, leading discipleship groups, and building lifelong friendships. Two of those relationships were especially significant: her future husband, Brady, and her best friend to this day, Lindsey Nichols.
Christa also remembers the lasting impact of Mrs. Steinbrink, who made her 5th-grade year incredibly memorable, and Mr. Hoduski, who would stop her in the hallway simply to pray over her.
“There is nothing better than a teacher who covers you in prayer and genuinely cares about your well-being.”
From MCA student → MCA alumna → MCA parent → MCA school nurse, Christa’s story is a beautiful picture of the lasting impact of Christian education and God’s faithfulness through the generations.
