We are so excited to have Darin Breeden joining us at Shawnee Music Co! Darin has immediate openings on Mondays for guitar, bass and ukulele. Summer is almost here and it’s a perfect time to get started!

Darin Breeden grew up writing songs and playing piano and acoustic/rhythm guitar in Shelbyville, IL. He added the bass and ukulele as he travelled across the rural midwest, playing in various worship bands and developing an understanding of music production and live performance. Currently, Darin is the writing partner, bassist, synth bassist, and backup vocalist for the chill-pop band Hotel Leo, who just signed with the record label The Record Machine, and a writing partner, guitarist, and backup vocalist for the lofi-folk band Tuckered Will. Darin also mixes and produces music for podcasts and other forms of media entertainment. Darin has been a Kansas City resident for 10 years and lives in the Longfellow neighborhood with his partner and their 3 black cats, Judah (the baby), Gus (the dummy), and Tony (the hunter). Darin currently offers guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons on Mondays

Locally owned music school opening this week in downtown Shawnee Shawnee Music Co., a locally owned music studio offering private instruction, will celebrate its grand opening at 5900 Nieman Road on Thursday.

Signs are up! Second studio is setup and ready! Grand opening will be May 9th, 4-6pm. We will have an official announcement with all the fun details this week!
