Renée Clemmons Appreciation Week

Last week at our Honey Do Auction, we had the privilege of honoring someone who has given so much to Project: SAFE and to the survivors and families we serve.
For years, Renée Clemmons has led Project: SAFE with compassion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to our mission. Her leadership has strengthened this organization and helped shape the work we do every day in our community.
During the Honey Do Auction, the Project: SAFE Board of Directors presented Renée with an award recognizing her years of dedicated service and leadership. The Board also announced a lasting tribute to her legacy: the conference room at Project: SAFE will now be known as the Renée E. Clemmons Board Room.
And this week, that celebration continues as the City of Shawnee has proclaimed October 5–9 as “Renée Clemmons Appreciation Week,” recognizing her exceptional leadership and years of service to the Shawnee community.
While Renée has stepped down from her role as Executive Director, we are grateful that she will continue serving Project: SAFE as our Assistant Executive Director. Her experience, wisdom, and passion for this mission remain an invaluable part of our organization.
Renée, thank you for the countless ways you have poured into Project: SAFE, our community, and the people we serve. Your legacy is not only reflected in the work you have accomplished, but in the people and organization you have helped build.
