A huge thank you to the Avedis Foundation for continuing to invest in educators across our region and creating an event that celebrates the incredible people who pour into students every day.

Our Wolf Pack loved the energy, the fun, and especially hearing from the Coffee Bean himself, Damon West! His message was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have on the people and environments around us.

And we couldn’t be more proud of our own! From our Shawnee Choirs, Shawnee Bands, Shawnee High School Cheer, and to the many other Shawnee students who helped make the event special, our Wolves showed up and represented SPS in a big way!

We left energized, inspired, and ready to keep making a difference. 🐺💙

Wolf Pack Reminder: Today is a Professional Development Day for our staff, which means there are no classes for the Wolf Pack today.

We’ll see the Pack back in action on Monday, August 31!

Just look at our MGMoA Events Calendar! The museum has something happening EVERY MONTH through the end of the year — and this doesn’t even include all the community events we’ll be part of around Shawnee!

📍 Pedal Palooza Bike Festival 2026 — September 19 at 10 AM at Rotary Briscoe Boy Scout Park with our Pogo - Pottawatomie Go friends
🍂 Fall Festival at Woodland Veterans Park — October 12 at noon
…and there’s plenty more to come!

For the big and small, young and young-at-heart, artsy and not-so-artsy — there’s a place for everyone at MGMoA. ❤️

Come take a class, enjoy a special event, bring the kids, try something new, explore the galleries, or simply spend some time surrounded by art and history.

Some traditions are just too good to leave in the past. The Shawnee High School Homecoming Parade is making its comeback downtown, thanks to our Shawnee High School Student Council!

Now, it’s time for the whole Wolf Pack to show up and make some noise.

Let’s fill downtown with Wolves pride, cheer on our students, and show Shawnee what happens when the Pack packs downtown!

Our buses are doing more than getting the Wolf Pack where they need to go!

Shawnee Public Schools is featured by the World Resources Institute for the innovative ways our electric school buses can give energy back to the power grid, while creating savings for our district.

Innovation, savings and community impact? That’s something to howl about! 💙🐺

Shawnee alum Clara has visited 53 of the 63 national parks, and now she gets to call one of them her office as an Interpretive Park Ranger with the National Park Service!

From a seventh-grade Buddy Bison Student Ambassador to helping others discover and appreciate our national parks, Clara is taking her passion places — literally!

We LOVE seeing our Wolves out in the world doing incredible things. No matter where the trail takes you, you’re always part of the Wolf Pack!

She's visited 53 of the 63 national parks. Now she works for the National Park Service. 🌲

We met Clara in 2019, when she was a seventh grader joining our Buddy Bison Student Ambassador Program. Today, she's an Interpretive Park Ranger at Ozark National Scenic Riverways, leading ranger programs and sharing her love of parks with visitors every weekend.

She's the first alum featured in Parks to Purpose, National Park Trust's new series that catches up with alumni to see where their paths have led. It's proof that early access to parks can shape a lifetime of stewardship.
