Good Shepherd Catholic School is a Pre-K through 8th grade school located in Shawnee, Kansas.

Good Shepherd is a community centered on Christ values that influence our students throughout life. With a tradition of strong academics and continuous commitment to our Catholic faith, our students grow spiritually and achieve academically while making important contributions to our community.

7th and 8th grade recently took on some fun team-building challenges! First they had to move in a circle without dropping their markers, then used the markers to lift tennis balls. They practiced teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Activities like these help our students build connections and grow as a team!

Our Running Club is off to a great start! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We’re having a great time getting out, running, and having fun together! We still have a couple weeks to go, and we’re excited to keep it going! 💚

Our students have been participating in “Read for 15” for the past four weeks, and we’ve had an amazing number of students join in! They’re building strong reading habits one page at a time. Keep up the great work, readers! 💙📖

Recently, before our all school Mass, we had the joy of welcoming one of our 8th graders into the Church as she begins her journey toward becoming Catholic. She is looking forward to being baptized, receiving her First Communion and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil.

We love getting to witness these special moments in our students’ faith journeys and celebrate with them as they receive the sacraments. 🙏✝

Our middle schoolers had their first Adoration of the year earlier this month. It was a beautiful opportunity for our students to slow down, pray, and spend time in the presence of Jesus. We are grateful for these moments of prayer and reflection throughout the school year.

Students from across K–8 came together for our first Games of Strategy Club! Whether they were experienced players or learning a new game for the first time, everyone had a chance to have fun, think critically, and enjoy some friendly competition! This club will continue to meet on Fridays before school at 7:10 throughout the year.
