Yesterday, one of my students got to flip the script — literally. I let him choose a piece of music for me to work on. We made a deal: if he comes back next week prepared and practiced, I’ll play the piece he picked for me.

Moments like these remind me that teaching isn’t one-directional. My students inspire me, challenge me, and make me better, too. 💛

My family and I had such a fun Saturday visiting The American Jazz Museum with my in-laws and kids!
It was such a great reminder of how powerful the arts are — not just something to study, but something to experience and feel.
Seeing the history of jazz come alive sparked some wonderful conversations with my kids about creativity, storytelling, and how music connects generations.

Welcome! I’m Christine, a dedicated voice and piano teacher with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential—on stage and beyond. With a background in vocal performance, pedagogy, and years of private teaching experience, I’ve designed The Vocal Studio of Christine Cohen to be a place where students feel supported, inspired, and equipped to grow.

My approach is both technique-focused and heart-centered. I believe that music is not only a skill to master, but a powerful tool for building confidence, creativity, and expression.
