🎶 Students are always the hero of the story.

Yesterday, one of my students got to flip the script — literally. I let him choose a piece of music for me to work on. We made a deal: if he comes back next week prepared and practiced, I’ll play the piece he picked for me.

Moments like these remind me that teaching isn’t one-directional. My students inspire me, challenge me, and make me better, too. 💛

Summer’s here—let’s keep your voice happy!
Whether you’re singing at camp, leading worship, or belting it out on a road trip, your voice deserves a little extra love in the summer heat!

Here are a few quick tips to keep your vocals strong all season:
• Stay super hydrated
• Don’t yell over the fun
• Warm up (yes, even when it’s hot!)
• Rest when you need to
• Cut back on sugar
• Keep allergies in check

My family and I had such a fun Saturday visiting The American Jazz Museum with my in-laws and kids!
It was such a great reminder of how powerful the arts are — not just something to study, but something to experience and feel.
Seeing the history of jazz come alive sparked some wonderful conversations with my kids about creativity, storytelling, and how music connects generations.
Moments like these are why I’m so passionate about teaching music — it’s about more than just notes and rhythms. It’s about inspiring a lifelong love for the arts.

Welcome! I’m Christine, a dedicated voice and piano teacher with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential—on stage and beyond. With a background in vocal performance, pedagogy, and years of private teaching experience, I’ve designed The Vocal Studio of Christine Cohen to be a place where students feel supported, inspired, and equipped to grow.

My approach is both technique-focused and heart-centered. I believe that music is not only a skill to master, but a powerful tool for building confidence, creativity, and expression.

I work with students of all ages and levels, offering lessons that are personalized, engaging, and goal-oriented. Whether you’re preparing for a performance, audition, or simply want to explore your musical talents—I’d love to work with you.
