📗‼️Story time and Sale Update ‼️📘
It’s our last Friday in business, 3 hours before closing our doors to the kiddos for the last time when the phone rings. Someone called the center to express interest in buying the building AND all of its contents to keep it running as a childcare center. UMM, WHAT? Here we are on the last day, crying sad tears together and planning details for a huge childcare sale and God threw this big, beautiful wrench into our plans.
We had 5 days before the sale started and we knew at least 200 people were coming. What are we going to do? Buying a business can’t happen overnight, so we postponed the sale to give the buyer time to work out details. We didn’t want to sell everything if they needed it to continue caring for children!
Fast forward to 7 days later: We have an accepted offer on our building AND all of the equipment! We are so extremely thankful that God’s plan is better than our own. We won’t go into further detail about the new buyer or the business — we’ll give them the honor of announcing when they’re ready 🥰
For all of you interested in the sale, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we were figuring out details. We know many of you still showed up and were hoping to shop and we feel awful for postponing it, but now you know it was all for a good reason. This is something we never expected, but are so thankful that someone is willing to take the plunge and continue serving the Shawano community.
We cannot thank you all enough for your love, support, patience, and kind words during the last few months. We feel so thankful for the amazing, kind humans there are in this world and we were so blessed to have cared for so many sweet kiddos during our time in these four walls 🥹♥️ We can’t wait to see what happens here in the future!
