Our Story...

Camp Kids Academy was founded in 2007 by Mark Camp and daughter Jamie with the vision of providing above standard early education care in the safest possible environment. The building was designed and constructed by Mr. Camp implementing safety features such as a FEMA designed storm shelter and NASA water and air filtration systems. The idea was in the event of inclement weather, every child and staff member would be safely housed within the 8 inch thick reinforced concrete center hallway. The filtration system is individualized to each room preventing air-born infectious diseases from spreading through the HVAC system. With nearly 8,200 square feet, the 125 capacity center opened in mid 2007. Since then, there has been quite a few changes in the center. There have been business changes, licensing changes, price changes and children have come and gone, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the vision of the founder’s and owner... providing excellent care because of the love of children in the safest environment possible.

On Feb 1, 2018, Mr. Camp took back over business control of Camp Kids and set out to make it better than ever. With the help of staff, parents, friends and family the reorganization was a welcomed change and has set Camp Kids on the path to be the best childcare center in the county. Amy de Graaff, Director, is just what Camp Kids needed all along. Her passion, love of children and background in early education was a sigh of relief to the families of Camp Kids Academy. There is not a shadow of doubt that great things are happening at Camp Kids!
