Kindness Is Always in Season

“Be the reason someone smiles today!”
A kind word, a helping hand, or a simple smile can brighten someone's entire day. Let's spread a little extra kindness on Fall Break!

Sharon School is kicking off a FUN fall fundraiser, and we need your help!

Students will be challenged to FILL THEIR PUMPKIN by collecting donations for the different dollar amounts shown on their pumpkin sheets. Every donation, big or small, helps us reach our goal!

💜 Where will the money go?
Funds raised will help provide sensory resources, educational materials for teachers and students, and exciting field trip opportunities!

🚌 What’s the reward?
Students who completely fill their pumpkins will earn a SPECIAL FIELD TRIP!

🗓️ All money is due Wednesday, November 18th!

We are so thankful for our Sharon School families and community! Your generosity helps us create meaningful learning experiences and exciting opportunities for ALL our Eagles!

Let’s get those pumpkins filled!

Our middle school math students had some artsy fun before fall break by creating creepy, Halloween-inspired portraits!

Students put their math skills to work using rulers, precise measurements, and a little creativity to bring their spooky masterpieces to life! Who says math can’t be a little frightfully fun?

Our kindergarten, first, and second grade students have been busy investigating pumpkins this week! To wrap up their learning, Mrs. Lindsey hosted our K–2 students for a fun, step-by-step activity making pumpkin pie in a cup! Students practiced following directions, measuring, and working together before enjoying their delicious sweet treats! 🥧

🚒 We also enjoyed a special visit from the Sharon and Sidonia Fire Departments in celebration of Fire Prevention Week! Our students learned important fire safety tips, asked great questions, explored firefighting equipment, and even had the opportunity to climb inside a fire truck!

❤️ A huge thank you to our local firefighters for taking time out of their day to educate our students and for all they do to keep our communities safe!

Our 4th graders attended the 27th annual Farm Day hosted by the Weakley County Young Farmers and Ranchers on the farm of Jack and Cathy Ogg.
They enjoyed a day of learning about agriculture and the many ways the industry is a cornerstone of our county. They explored equipment and met farm animals. In addition, they had the chance to ask questions and form connections to the people, hard work, and dedication behind agriculture.

We had a great Big House Meeting last week. Each of our Houses proudly shared their House cheer, and we took time to celebrate some of our amazing students and their accomplishments.

One of the highlights was seeing our entire school work together to create a rainstorm! 🌧️ Using our hands to clap and our feet to stomp, students worked together to build the sounds of a storm and then bring it back to calm. It was such a fun way to practice listening, following cues, and working together as ONE school community!

🤖 STEM Learning in Action!

Our Pre-K students also had some special entertainment when they got to watch our 7th grade STEM students race their robots down the hallway!

The 7th graders designed and programmed their robots with one goal—make it across the finish line! 🏁 When robots crashed, turned off course, or didn’t quite make it, students went right back to work—adjusting, troubleshooting, and testing again. Each attempt gave them new information to help improve their design and programming.

It was a great example of problem-solving, perseverance, engineering, and learning through trial and error—with some very excited Pre-K spectators cheering them on!
