Sharon Springs Central School This is official page for Sharon Springs Central School District (SSCSD). Check here for sports, club, PTO and academic updates.

The hub of the community is the Sharon Springs Central School District (SSCSD) – home of the Spartans. A uniquely small district, it accommodates just under 300 students (pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade) in a single building. The mission of the district is to “educate all students to become healthy, hard-working, honest and respectable citizens, who will value lifelong learning and contribute to a global society.”

This mission is carried out by a nurturing, dedicated, and student-first administration and staff, who seek to provide students with positive experiences in the culture that defines SSCSD. We look to leverage this tool increase communication and collaboration with our extensive SSCS "Family." We trust you will use this space positively and responsibly - furthering the mission of our school! If you have a specific question, please contact the specific SSCS employee via email to address your need.

FFA has been ACTIVE!

Our FFA members have been busy learning, competing, and gaining hands-on experiences! Here are just a few of the events our students have been involved in recently:

Food Science Cake Contest — Our students earned 5th place!

SUNY Cobleskill High School Days — Students explored college and career opportunities.

Fisheries & Wildlife Contest — Our students put their knowledge and skills to the test!

We are so proud of our FFA members for getting involved, trying new things, and representing our school! Keep up the great work, FFA!

Our 8th Grade Introduction to Occupations and 9th Grade Introduction to Business students attended National Grid’s Career Pathway Expo on September 25 in Albany!

Students had the opportunity to explore the many different occupations and career pathways available at National Grid, including heavy equipment, communications, management, linework, gas pipeline operations, and more.

It was a great opportunity for our students to learn about a variety of career options and see the many possibilities available to them after high school!
