Today was a whirlwind of emotions for all ๐ฅน. The last day of school is always bittersweet as we bid farewell to the 5th-grade class of Shapleigh Memorial. This year was no exception, if not more so. We also had to bid farewell to the most wonderful principal a school could have. We are so happy to know our kids will be reunited with you again. You are going to be a blessing to have at the high school. Today, we presented Mrs. Penney with a lovely photo to hang in her new office, a keepsake that will always remind her how much Shapleigh Memorial loves her. This photo would not have been possible without the support from our wonderful staff for their assistance with hauling all of your students outside on one of the warmest days, our cooperative students for your patience and enthusiasm, Steve Foglio for taking the time to bring his drone to capture the love, and to Rikki Lynn Foglio for printing and framing! It definitely takes a village, and we are grateful for ours ๐ซถ. Nurse Cerise Humphrey Apt, how do we bid farewell to one of the most caring and nurturing school nurses?! You have kept many parents confident and filled with joy to know their children are in the safest hands. Your emails, your check-ins, and your open arms - Line School is very lucky to have you, and we wish you the most wonderful first year and many more to follow. I just know they will love you as much as we do. Donna Smith, you have been such a wonderful asset to Shapleigh Memorial. Students always enjoy their time with you; teachers, staff, and parents are grateful. You have made a huge impact at Shapleigh Memorial. You will be missed by past, and present students! Shapleigh Memorial & Shapleigh PTC loves you all, to infinity and beyond ๐๐
