Facebook Rules of Engagement:
The goal of using Facebook by the Lee County School District is to share important information with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accomplish this goal we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:
-Engage in open conversation and not personal issues. This page is not intended as a forum for personal issues with the district,
a school or staff member. Personal attacks or other comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks and profanity will be removed.
-If you are selling a product, running for political office, or involved in any other self-promotion please do not post on the school district’s page.
-Keep conversations on topic. This is a page dedicated to the education of students in Shannon Middle School in the Lee County School District. All comments are welcome so long as they relate to the district, schools and activities.
-If you have a question or comment for a specific employee please contact them privately.
-Remember who is reading this page. People of all ages and backgrounds are part of this conversation. Comments should be appropriate at all times.
-Know the facts. False information will be removed from the school district’s page.
-We encourage everyone to participate on Facebook as you discover what’s going on with students at Shannon Middle School in the Lee County School District. However, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or the blocking/removal from our page.
