We’re excited to invite all of our Union families to Back to School Night at Golf Barn on Friday, August 28, from 6–8 PM! 🎉

Come out, enjoy a round of mini-golf with your family and friends, and help support UES PTO! Proceeds from all rounds of mini-golf played during the event will go back to the UES PTO.

Coastal Buddy Builders will also be there selling adorable dolphin stuffed animals with custom Union shirts, with proceeds from those sales also benefiting UES PTO! 🐬💙

Come join us as we celebrate the start of a new and exciting school year! We hope to see you there!

A Big Thank You to Blissful Balloons! 🎈💙

A huge THANK YOU to Brittany with Blissful Balloons for creating the beautiful balloon arch for our Back to School event and the first day of school! 🎈🐬

It’s the perfect backdrop to kick off another amazing school year at Union Elementary, and we’re so grateful for her help in making these special moments even more memorable!

And last, but certainly not least, wrapping up our 2026–2027 UES PTO Board introductions is our newest board member and new PTO President, Missy Justice! 💙🐬

Welcome to the team, Missy! We’re so happy to have you! 🎉☀️

I’m a mom of three, with two of my children currently at Union — a rising 4th grader and a rising 1st grader. My youngest will be joining the Union family next year as a kindergartener, so our family will officially have three Dolphins! 🐬

I’ve been married to my husband, Nick, for 11 years, and together we stay busy cheering on our kids in everything they do. Whether it’s school, soccer, dance, or all the activities in between. When I’m not at a soccer field or dance studio, you’ll probably find me on the pickleball court!

Outside of PTO, I work full-time as the Sr. Manager of Ad Operations for a Western Media Company.

I’m incredibly passionate about our community and truly believe that when parents, teachers, staff, and families come together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. I’m excited for the opportunity to support our teachers and staff, create memorable experiences for our students, and help make Union an even more amazing place to learn and grow. 💙🐬☀️

Welcome to the team, Kirstin! We’re so happy to have you! 🎉☀️

I’m a proud mom of four with a heart for family and community. I love volunteering and giving back, and supporting our youth is a huge part of who I am. Whether it’s cheering them on, lending a helping hand, or finding ways to make a positive impact, I truly believe in investing in the next generation.

When I’m not busy with my family or volunteering in our community, you can usually find me enjoying time at the beach or traveling and making memories with my family. Family, community, and creating meaningful connections are at the heart of everything I do.

Hi! I am Rachel Frank, and this is our 3rd year at Union and my 3rd year as the PTO Treasurer! I am the proud mom of three daughters, two who attend here and one at Shallotte Middle! I’m looking forward to another wonderful year and am excited to support our students, teachers, and families through the PTO.

Hi, my name is Louise Sheffield-Baccarny. This is my 5th year volunteering with the UES PTO and 2nd year as secretary. I am a Mother to Eva, a rising 4th grader. I am an Ocean Isle Beach native and a Union Elementary alum from the 1900’s😆🐬

As summer winds down and we get ready to kick off another exciting school year, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to our **2026–2027 UES PTO Board!** 💙

We’re kicking things off by introducing our newest **Board Member at Large, Ashley Trent!** 🎉

Ashley Trent is serving in her 3rd year on the Union PTO board. She is an “Ami-Mommy” and her son Knox is a rising 3rd grader and in the Amistad house at Union and her son Jax (a Nukumori alum) is starting 6th grade at SMS. Outside of school, you can find Ashley at work, where she is an operations leader in Digital Communications, or on the baseball field with her 2 boys and husband, Jacksen. They have two Sheepadoodles named Huk and Bru. She’s looking forward to a great year and getting to know more of our school families!
