Good Evening Dolphin families! This is your Principal, Mr. Jennings, with your Sunday reminders.

School starts tomorrow! All parents that attended open house received their 26-27 parent handbook. Please read over this as it has lots of important information. It is also linked on our school’s website.

Doors open at 8:10am and the tardy bell rings at 8:35am. Parents are welcome to walk their students to the classroom each and every morning. Starting Thursday, August 27th, all parents who walk in students will be required to have a valid ID to scan or to have the RAPTOR safe app set up on their phone. If you have not downloaded the RaptorSafe app yet, we encourage you to do so as it will make checking in easier and faster for everyone.

Afternoon dismissal starts at 3:40pm. Students must be picked up by 4:00pm. If you are unsure how car riders work, please check out our short 2-minute video linked in the message, on DOJO, or on social media. https://youtu.be/QEpw83jBKH4

Bus rider parents, make sure you download the edulog app and check arrival times for AM and PM bus routes. Be patient the first week of school as our drivers learn their routes.

Transportation changes: We are not allowed to take transportation changes over the phone. All changes should go through the email [email protected]. Please do not DOJO teacher as they are teaching and do not always have the opportunity to check DOJO throughout the day.
PTO is excited to invite all of our Union families to Back to School Night at Golf Barn on Friday, August 28, from 6–8 PM! Come out, enjoy a round of mini-golf with your family & friends, and help support UES PTO! Proceeds from all rounds of mini-golf played during the event will go back to the UES PTO. Coastal Buddy Builders will also be there selling adorable dolphin stuffed animals with custom Union shirts, with proceeds from those sales also benefiting UES PTO!
Have you registered for School Cash Online? If not, go to https://bcswan.schoolcashonline.com and register. This is how we will pay for field trips, and all other items this year.
Save the Date: Union’s 75th celebration will be on September 19th from 1-4pm at Union. If you are interested in celebrating with us, bricks can be purchased for our brick walk at

Good afternoon, Dolphin families! This is your Principal, Mr. Jennings, with Saturday afternoon transportation details.

Bus Riders: Please download the Edulog Parent App, available on the Brunswick County Schools webpage under the Transportation Department, for the most up-to-date bus route information and to track the bus.

Important Transportation Reminders:

Kindergarten and First Grade students must have an adult present at their assigned bus stop. If an adult is not present, the bus driver will return the student to school.

Transportation requests for pickup or drop-off at an address other than the legal address listed in Infinite Campus are still being reviewed by the Transportation Department.

Once a request has been approved or denied, the school will notify the family.

The Transportation Department is working diligently to process all requests as quickly as possible.

Car Riders: Please review the 2 minute video about how car riders work at Union. Parents received blue car rider signs at Open House. These are required to pick up students. After the first week of school, anyone without their sign will be asked to pull over. If you need additional signs, please DOJO your child’s teacher and they will be sent home in their folder.

Good Evening Dolphin families! This is your Principal, Mr. Jennings, with Open House Details.

Open House is TOMORROW from 4-7pm. We are doing Open House a little differently this year. Teachers will do presentations in their classrooms at 4:15pm, 5:15pm, and 6:15pm with all the information for the school year. Mrs. Walker and Mr. Jennings will give our Annual Title 1 Parent information and other important school information at 4:45pm and 5:45 pm in the gym.

Beyond the classroom and Principal presentations, please visit the cafeteria for the following information.

Buses - You will receive bus information in your child’s classroom. However, if that information is wrong or needs to be changed there will be a table in the cafeteria.

PTO - PTO will be available with information about how to get involved. They will also have school calendar magnets for sale!

Volunteering - Mrs. Miller, our parent facilitator will have a table to get you signed up to come volunteer!

Infinite Campus- We will have staff available to help get your Infinite Campus portal set up if you do not currently have access.

Raptor App - Raptor is our new guest tracking system. This app will allow you to scan and go when you check in to school and will expedite checking in when you come to school. Think of it like your TSA pre-check when you fly.

School Cash Online - New online system where all fees will be paid including field trips. All families need to enroll.

Union’s house system - Mrs. Carico and Mrs. Hill will be available for any parents that are new to Union and would like to learn more.

Union 75 - Representatives will be available to share about Union turning 75 and how we are celebrating!
