It’s only DAY 6, and our Algebra I Honors Wildcats are already tackling some seriously challenging problems in Ms. Mac's class! 💪➗✏️

This is what LEVELING UP looks like—students thinking critically, working through productive struggle, collaborating, and refusing to give up when the math gets tough.

We aren’t easing into excellence at Meigs—we’re jumping right in! 🔥

Join the MMS Cheerleaders for our Youth Cheer Clinic on September 17 at 4:00 PM! Open to students in grades K-5, this fun-filled event includes a t-shirt, bow, pizza, game day clinic, and the opportunity to cheer with the MMS cheerleaders during 1st quarter of the Football game! 💛🖤
✅ Registration Fee: $45
✅ Paperwork & payment are due by September 11

Today in Mr. Hull’s AI/technology classes, students took on the “tallest structure challenge” using just paper, tape, and scissors. Working in teams, they planned, built, tested, and improved their designs under a time limit. The room was full of creativity and teamwork! This hands-on challenge set the tone for a year of innovation and problem-solving. 🖤💛

💛 COMMUNITY PARTNERS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! 💛

We cannot say THANK YOU enough to Trinity UMC Fort Walton Beach, FL and their amazing youth group for spending part of their Saturday serving our Meigs community! 🐾

On a HOT Saturday morning—just days before we welcome our Wildcats back to campus—these incredible young people and their leaders showed up ready to WORK! They gave their time, energy, and plenty of sweat to help beautify our campus and make sure Meigs is looking its very best for our students and staff. 🌿☀️💪

There is something incredibly special about seeing members of our community choose to spend their weekend serving a school simply because they care about the students and families who walk through our doors. We even had a Meigs Alum show up, ready to work before going back to school next week.

Trinity UMC Fort Walton Beach, FL, THANK YOU for loving on us at Meigs Middle School! Your kindness, hard work, and servant hearts did not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful to have community partners who believe in our Wildcats and are willing to roll up their sleeves to show it!

📣💛 What an incredible week last week was at cheer camp at Louisiana State University! Competing alongside multiple middle school and high school teams, our Middle School Cheer Team represented our school with pride, determination, and outstanding spirit.
