The Children's Center of First Baptist Church

Today we were honored to welcome Mayor David Weiss who read the book Pie in the Sky for the children! He also answered their playful questions and presented an important Week of the Young Child proclamation! Thank you Mayor Weiss!

Yesterday was super special as Mocha the dog and her mama, our director Jane Pernicone read Rrrrralph! to the children. Furry friends are wonderful. Thank you Mocha and Jane! Wooof!

Today's guest reader was our own Pastor Kevin of First Baptist Church. He read the cute book Nuts to You by Lois Ehlert. He talked about how he uses his hands for blessings, communion and helping him preach. He even stepped into the pulpit! Pastor Kevin also showed the beautiful, old bible, answered lots of questions and prayed over the children. Thank you Pastor Kevin!

The Children’s Center was honored to have Leon Bibb as our guest reader yesterday for The Week of the Young Child. We are celebrating the work of Lois Ehlert and yesterday‘s book selection was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Thank you so much, Mr. Bibb! 

Our amazing Faith turns 65 today! Happy Birthday!!! We love you!! 💕🎈🎁🎂🎉

We are truly thankful at FBCCC especially for Faith and her team of sous-chefs who prepared for our center family Thanksgiving luncheon today. Thanks also to the helpful team of Excel Tech Teach students who helped us serve the families. We are blessed!
