Each day of Junior Librarian Camp had D.E.A.R. time as part of the schedule. Today, on the last day, Mrs. Blackwell and Mrs. Woconish were guest readers.

All this week, incoming kindergarten and 1st grade students have enjoyed hands-on learning and fun activities focused on school readiness. Thank you to Ms. Dunagan and Mrs. Iademarco for creating this amazing K & 1 Readiness Boot Camp.

Today, a group of SDS teachers attended the Spark Conference at Lakewood Catholic Academy, where they heard the powerful story of William Martinez — a story that shows how important teachers are in children’s lives.

The kick off to our junior librarian camp was a resounding success. Students enthusiastically shared their summer vacations, the books they’ve read, and actively contributed to transforming the library into a welcoming haven for this upcoming school year.

Thanks to some amazing student and parent volunteers, the Uniform Grab and Go is ready for Sunday. Because of some painting jobs around the building, we moved it to the library. See you between 12 -2 for free, gently used uniform items.

The ESSOC team delivered some SDS gifts to our student, Stefany, who wrote: Hi, I wanted to thank you for the gift and the things you sent me; I really appreciate it.
I also wrote you a heartfelt letter, and I hope it reaches you.
