Elementary school principals met with architects from GPD Group and Robert P. Madison International today to discuss the Long-Term Master Facilities Plan! Architects shared options for interior finishes for the principals to review π« Collaboration between the elementary principals during the design process ensures that all schools will have similar, consistent finishes.

Earlier this spring, the Shaker Youth Collaborative shared an update with the Forward Together Steering Committee, highlighting efforts to better connect and strengthen youth programming across our community.
Through student engagement and collaboration among schools, the City of Shaker Heights, the Shaker Heights Public Library, the Shaker Youth Center and other partners, the Collaborative is working to expand opportunities, address barriers to participation and ensure young people have access to supportive spaces and meaningful experiences.
The groupβs next steps include improving coordination, enhancing communication and continuing to build partnerships that support Shakerβs youth β£οΈ

We recently celebrated a very special milestone β the graduation of the inaugural preschool class of the Ludlow Early Learning Center! β¨π
What began as a new chapter for a historic school turned into a year filled with learning, laughter, growth and joy. Our youngest learners have blossomed through curiosity, creativity, and friendship, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished.

The Shaker Heights Police Department has been made aware of an unauthorized teen party being promoted at the Van Aken District for this afternoon. This event is not approved or sanctioned by the Van Aken District, its businesses, or the City of Shaker Heights. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to speak with their children and ensure they do not attend or gather in the area for this or any unsanctioned event. The Shaker Heights Police Department will have an increased presence in and around the Van Aken District today.
